What are some goals of peer reviewing:
1. To see how others are writing
2. To help students think critically about their own work and others'
3. Identify a gap between writer and reader (is everything clear? Did the message get sent?)
4. To gain strategies for interactions with others and texts
5. To practice revision strategies
What to say when you give feedbackExchange papers with someone you feel comfortable with and proceed to read their IRP. Read it once before you make any comments.
Homework:
It is time to write your IRP second draft. This draft should be as complete as possible. Please, go over the revising done by your peer and make changes accordingly. This second draft should contain a title page, a reference page, correct in-text citations, should be written in Times New Roman, 12 font, double space. It should be no less than six pages.
Dateline for the presentation of 2nd draft is Friday, April 20, 12:00 midnight. I will go over your drafts on the weekend and give you some feedback.
Final draft will be presented on last day of classes, Wednesday, May 2, 9:00 AM. Upload on Dropbox. This final draft must be complete and exhibit revision based on feedback given by peers and instructor.
