Today we will write a TENTATIVE outline for our Guided Research Paper.
a) Take a few minutes to remember what you did when you wrote the outline for your revised diagnostic paper a few weeks ago. (3 minutes)
b) What is an outline? What is the purpose of writing an outline during the pre-writing stage?
What sections does the outline contain? Are there subsections to these big sections? What sub-sections should we include in our GRP outline? (5 min)
c) Individually, go over the materials and sources you have gathered for the GRP. Try to write a tentative outline that follows the purpose of the assignment and the findings of the research you carried out. (5 min)
d) Forms groups of 4 and go to the corners of the classroom. Each student presents his outline to the rest of the group. The group writes a tentative outline to be presented and explained to the rest of the class by all members of the group. (15 min)
e) The class will vote for the two best outlines. (5 min)
